#2: McKinney

Established in 1849, McKinney is one of northern Texas’ oldest towns.  Downtown McKinney has old victorian homes and still have the feel of a small city.

All the new homes are actually west of I-75 where has been more open space and where the finest developments in the north Texas can be found.  Homes are from mid-$150,000 to million dollar home.

#13: Allen

Population of Allen had doubled in the past 8 years to 84,000. Everything can be found in Allen: from small hpuses to high-end ones, golf courses, a great shopping center at Stacy Rd:  Allen Outlets Mall and an open mall on the east side of I-75.

Actually every town north of Dallas should be in the top spots! I will include Plano, Prosper, Frisco, Fairview, Lucas and Murphy as great places to live: commute is reasonable (by Texas distances), very low crime rate, great prices for homes, all shopping and enterteinment is available. Exemplary schools. So, I will add all the above cities as “the best cities to live”!
